The Duality of Hamletââ¬â¢s Character Portrayed in...
One of the first images that are created to further Shakespeareââ¬â¢s investigation of humanity is created by Hamlet in his first soliloquy. This simple comparison brings to life the feeling that the treachery and corruption surrounding him is enveloping all that he is familiar with. No longer is he able to see the metaphorical flowers of joy and prosperity that were once so familiar and comforting to him as they are becoming increasingly obscured by the rampant weeds of vile corruption. Hamlet furthers his emotional outpouring when he wishes that his ââ¬Å"flesh would melt, Thaw and resolve itself into a dew.â⬠He clearly wishes not to deal with the corruption that has grown thick around him. He goes as far as to offer his life for such an escape.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The duality of Hamletââ¬â¢s character is constant throughout the whole book, from the time when he sees the ghost till the end at his death. Hamlet, who is killed by poison, presents an entirely di fferent message. He dies with the knowledge and respect ââ¬Å"Heaven make thee free of itâ⬠(Hamlet V II). This respectable death not only promises him a prosperous memory on Earth, but it leads one to believe that he will also be well treated in the afterlife. Hamlet was a murderer, but this seems unimportant in the light of his motivations. He sought to do what he thought was honorable to society, and this is what Shakespeare rewards him for. He avoided the desires for power that controlled Claudius and remained true to an honorable path. Shakespeare clearly presented the idea of unselfish ethics to be one of the highest esteem. Hamlet was a hero not because of his ability to achieve revenge, but because his intentions throughout his journey were rooted above self-satisfaction. The various mentalities seen through out the play were brought to an end that was purchased with the value of their respective characters as determined by Shakespeare. Hamletââ¬â¢s story lives on with honor while those who possessed an insincere character died with disgrace. The moral journey that Hamlet embarks upon proves that the ambitions of a petty person are to be looked down upon in light of theShow MoreRelatedAn Analysis of Marius the Epicurian and the Picture of Dorian Gray2332 Words à |à 10 PagesWalter Pater with their children The Picture of Dorian Gray and other works of Oscar Wilde and Marius the Epicurean. Marketing Organizations Can Make Connected ââ¬Myassgnmenthelp.Com
Question: Discuss About The Marketing Organizations Can Make Connected? Answer: Introduction This essay is about the integrated marketing communications strategy of Carmans Fine Foods for re-launching its Muesli business. Carmans began its journey 20 years back and since then, the Company has carved for itself an enviable position in the fine foods business. Headed by Carolyn Creswell, this Company came into being quite by chance. It so happened that when Carolyn heard that her employer was on the verge of selling his muesli-based business, she offered to buy it out for just AUD 1,000. She was just 18 at that time and was a student in a university. Over a period, she has built her business by focussing upon the core product of her company-muesli (Kaplan.2009). Currently, the product mix of Carmans Fine Foods comprises Muesli Bars, Porridge Oars, Crunchy Clusters, Protein Bars, Muesli, Nut Bars, Oat Slice, Bliss Balls etc. The Company is headquartered at Melbourne, Australia. Target Market When muesli was first developed, it was made up of toasted whole oats, nuts, fruit and wheat flakes. Muesli has fewer calories and less sugar than its close variant, granola (Kelly, 2016). The most obvious health benefits of muesli are that it regulates the digestive system and helps in weight control. It has also been found that muesli is an anti-oxidant and helps reverse aging. This substance also has protein and omega-3 fatty acids (Sutherland, 2013). The milk variants of muesli deliver protein. Given all these benefits, the target market of muesli comprises (Bonigala, 2010): Professionals who are health conscious Diabetics School going children Obese people who want to control their weight University students Members of this target market consume different media and have varying media consumption habits. Most of these people live in big urban centres like Adelaide, Perth, and Sydney. Now let us understand the media habits of the members of this target group; Professionals who are health conscious- newspapers, magazines, digital devices, TV Diabetics- TV, digital devices School going children- Digital devices, TV University students- Digital devices, Newspaper Positioning Strategy Carmens Muesli-What a beautiful world Rationale- Since muesli is all about health, the positioning strategy should be about health. However, there is several other competitor brands like Kelloggs that also speak about health benefits. So to harp on just health alone would not position the brand effectively. Since Carmans Muesli delivers health tastefully, the positioning statement must talk about the twin benefits of health and taste in a holistic manner. The strategy should be talk about life as a whole and not just about benefits. This way, Carmans Muesli would acquire a larger than life platform and be at liberty to redefine the brand in future. When you describe life as beautiful, essentially you are encouraging all the unwell people to give another shot at leading a healthful life. There is a ring of optimism to this statement and it positions the brand on a plank of positivity, encouragement and warmth. People do not like to be told about health benefits in a direct manner; they consider it to be case of overselling (Stephens 2012). The positioning strategy of Carmans tries to smuggle the brand into peoples lives in a non-obtrusive manner. The word, beautiful means several things to several people. For an obese person, a beautiful world is one where she can slip into her favourite dress, easily. For a diabetic, this word represents an opportunity to eat her favourite dishes without fearing about blood sugar levels. For the permanently busy professional, a beautiful world is about meeting objectives without losing healthcare. So this positioning strategy is all about appropriating the beautiful world. Communication Goal The main communication goal of Carmans Muesli is to daily remind people of their health. Through, integrated marketing communication, the Company is trying to gently remind its target audience that life can be made even more beautiful by taking home a pack of Carmans Muesli. The main communication goal is further subdivided into several sub goals: Message retention goals Benefits comprehension goals Top of the mind awareness goals Recall of commercials goals Units purchased goals Footfalls into select retailers shops goals Each of these sub-goals is closely tied with the individual members of the media mix. We will see the nature of these connections in one of the subsequent paragraphs. Message Strategy and Execution Tactics While the main communication goal is the make people know that Carmans Fine Foods is all about a beautiful world, there are various strategies at work for achieving this goal. Integrated communication marketing strategies are not deployed round the year. They are used during a specific time period. Those periods can be related to: Falling market shares that lead to steps for establishing brand credibility Picking up sales in a particular market(Harris, 2015) If your target audience is spread across demographics like age, gender and profession then also the brand uses IMC. Sometimes, to occupy the top of the mind awareness, brands use integrated marketing strategies. To deliver an effective IMC, Carmens Fine Foods must cover the following steps; Identify a goal and understand the limitations for achieving it- The broad goal is here to convince people that the brand is about a healthy world. Limitations can be related to budgets or manpower issues. Typically, the biggest limitation is one about budgets. Defining target audience- This is a critical strategy. Target audience definition happens on two levels- primary audiences are those people who buy products and secondary ones are those that influence the purchase of those products (Stealingshare, 2017). How are you special- Brands need to identify their competitive strengths. How are they different from the competitors? How is your brand weaker than your rival (Joybynature, 2015)? Execution- No matter how big and creative is your idea, until it is executed well, you wont taste success. Many big companies simply fail because they lagged in execution. Plan Planning the entire process is of course the key to success. Draw up several scenarios while planning. Budgets- While budgeting is important, more important is how to work within the budgetary constraints. Going over-budget means bad planning and that further means not achieving the desired results. Monitor In terms of tactics, the following steps need to be taken by Carmens; Activate the sales and marketing teams, allocate responsibilities and delegate the authority. Inform and involve the retailers and other secondary audiences- It makes no sense to inform them a week before your marketing initiative starts (Fayram, 2015). Get the collaterals ready(Ferghuson,2011) Keep a sharp eye on the competition- It is probable that the competition may get a word about your marketing and sales strategy and thwart you by reducing prices. Be ready for Plan B in that case. Involve and partner marketing communication agencies- there are specialized agencies for special jobs. For example, a media buying agency is an expert in media related jobs. For direct marketing, Carmens will have to partner with a DM firm. Digital agencies-planning, buying or creative have their particular strengths and insights. Promotional Tools and Media Strategy Since the target audience is spread over multiple touch points, the strategy of Carmans Fine Foods is to use media judiciously. Let us understand the media strategy of the Company; Digital devices and platforms- Digital means different things to different people. For a young university student who is a fitness freak, digital would mean wearables like watches and other gear that track kilometres run, calories burnt, and number of heartbeats in a minute. Such kind wearables have a special chemistry with the wearer. Since the athlete trusts the stats displayed by his fitness watch, ads that appear on these platforms have also a ring of truth and credibility. There are other digital platforms as well like digital videos, news platforms, sports channels etc. Television is another important part of the media mix of Carmans Fine Foods. TV commercials deliver impact and carry a larger than life image for the audience. Press comprises magazines and newspapers. Press is important in the media strategy of the Company as this media is all about credibility. Of late, this media has been shrinking because of falling circulation as many readers have switched over to digital formats. Radio and Outdoor- These two platforms work closely with each other. Radio adds to the excitement of the brand. It also encourages consumers to contact the brand for immediate purchase. Outdoor media, on the other hand adds effectiveness to the radio ads which are targeted toward car drivers. When they see the same ads displayed on billboards and other outdoor media, recall of the radio ads is strengthened. Point of Sales- This media mix works for those consumers who are generally away from the media. Such consumers can be reached by displaying POS messages that encourage her to buy the brand without too much coaxing (Muesli, 2017) Events- Perhaps this element of the media mix of Carmens Fine Foods is the most interesting and rewarding. Events encourage potential consumers in a variety of ways and finally succeed in getting them to buy the brand. Events also help the user to try out the product real-time and this helps in establishing a physical connect with her (simconblog, 2017). Conclusion Carmans Fine Foods started out as a muesli-based business nearly two decades ago out of the conviction of its founder that health based foods are here to stay. However, the biggest worry of the founder was how to take the brand to the market which had other competitors like Kelloggs in the same category. After brainstorming on several possible solutions, it was concluded that rather than talking about the health benefits of the brand, it was preferable to dwell upon the world being a beautiful place. This positioning strategy made sense as it helped all the members of the target audience interpret the world in a different way. The next challenge was how to take this positioning statement to the TG (Wax Marketing Inc., 2015). An integrated marketing communications strategy was thought out and an over-arching communications goal was also formulated. This goal was further broken into several sub-goals. Each sub-goal was later tied to a specific media channel. The idea was to come up wit h a media mix that helped the Company on several levels. The IMC had several strategies and those strategies were further subdivided into various time bound tactics. Each specific media channel was chosen keeping in mind its uniqueness and its ability to deliver to the Company goal. References Bonigala, M. The Problem of Cooperative Society in Marketing Agricultural Product free essay sample
Although co-operation as a form of individual and societal behavior is intrinsic to human organization, the history of modern co-operative forms of organizing dates back to the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries. The status of which was the first co-operative is under some dispute, but various milestones in the history may be identified. In 1761, the Fenwick Weavers Society was formed in Fenwick, East Ayrshire, Scotland to sell discounted oatmeal to local workers. Its services expanded to include assistance with savings and loans, emigration and education. In 1810, Welsh social reformer Robert Owen, from Newtown in mid-Wales, and his partners purchased New Lanark mill from Owens father-in-law and proceeded to introduce better labor standards including discounted retail shops where profits were passed on to his employees. Owen left New Lanark to pursue other forms of co-operative organization and develop co-op ideas through writing and lecture. Co-operative communities were set up in Glasgow, Indiana and Hampshire, although ultimately unsuccessful. The Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers, founded in 1844, is usually considered the first successful co-operative enterprise, used as a model for modern co-ops, following the Rochdale Principles. A group of 28 weavers and other artisans in Rochdale, England set up the society to open their own store selling food items they could not otherwise afford. Within ten years there were over 1,000 co-operative societies in the United Kingdom. Other events such as the founding of a friendly society by the Tolpuddle Martyrs in 1832 were key occasions in the creation of organized labor and consumer movements. From the report of the workshop held on 10th ââ¬â 11th November 2008 during the 8 the ICA Africa regional assembly at the international conference centre, Abuja. Mr Tom Tar The Executive Secretary of Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, In his introduction of the movement in Nigeria, said the Cooperative Federation of Nigeria (CFN) was formed in 1945 and got registered in 1967. He traced the background of cooperatives in Nigeria to the traditional savings and loans system. He added that following agitation by the Agege Cocoa planters Union in 1907, the study for establishment of formal cooperation was commissioned in 1934. This was followed by the enactment of cooperative legislation in 1935. The early move was in agriculture and latter shifted to marketing following the shift in the Nigerian economy from agriculture to crude oil. He gave the scope of cooperative activities in Nigeria as covering: On population, he said there are about 5million family members covering 20 million house holds. This study is significant because it will produce data on cooperative movement in Nigeria that will be useful to: 1. federal ministry of labour and productivity 2. national union of local government employees 3. state civil service commission 4. federal civil service commission . 5. managers and top executives in organized private sector 6. united nation commission on employment 7. federal ministry of finance 8. Central bank of Nigeria 9. tudents carrying out a research work in this same issue. Cooperative society is the organization of people for an improved agricultural production (Strickland, 1934). Historically in Nigeria, the orientation and growth of cooperatives in Nigeria was related to the development of agricultural export sector by the Colonial Masters who invited an expert in 1934 known as C. F. Strickland who served in India to advice ââ¬Å"on the prospects and desirability of forming cooperatives in Nigeriaâ⬠(Nkom, 1984). Among the recommendations made by Strickland was the formation of Agricultural Marketing Cooperatives with the aim of pursuing the major export crops, like cocoa, cotton, palm produce farms in the country (Ekpere, 1980). From 1935-37, however, these east while production cooperatives were either transformed or designated cooperative produce marketing societies and unions. From 1960-1972, the role of farmer cooperative in the primary production process has been re-vitalized (Ekpere, 1980). Presently, the cooperative movement is on the increase for the search of sustainability in an agricultural system. Sustainability is possible when we encourage the agricultural activities of cooperatives. The organizational structure of cooperative societies is based on their operation, organization, structure, membership, functions and services (Scope) with the main aim of ââ¬Å"Collecting, processing and marketing specific commodities and providing with inputs, credit and technical services for benefits of members. Therefore, these cooperative organizations are usually arranged into ââ¬Å"tiersâ⬠. They are: The primary societies, secondary and Apex organization. Although the term may be used loosely to describe a way of working, a cooperative properly so-called is a legal entity owned and democratically controlled equally by its members. A defining point of a cooperative is that the members have a close association with the enterprise as producers or consumers of its products or services, or as its employees. In some countries, e. g. Finland and Sweden, there are specific forms of incorporation for co-operatives. Cooperatives may take the form of companies limited by shares or by guarantee, partnerships or unincorporated associations. In the USA, cooperatives are often organized as non-capital stock corporations under state-specific cooperative laws. However, they may also be unincorporated associations or business corporations such as limited liability companies or partnerships; such forms are useful when the members want to allow: some members to have a greater share of the control, or some investors to have a return on their capital that exceeds fixed interest, neither of which may be allowed under local laws for cooperatives. Cooperatives often share their earnings with the membership as dividends, which are divided among the members according to their participation in the enterprise, such as patronage, instead of according to the value of their capital shareholdings (as is done by a joint stock company).

Art Show On the UWG Campus essays
Art Show On the UWG Campus essays The faculty art exhibition at the University of West Georgia campus was diverse and fascinating. The different pieces in this show were done in a variety of styles, such as photography, watercolor, metalwork, and sculpture. There were also many different themes being portrayed. The most common theme was landscape. Though every piece of artwork was creative and interesting in its own respect, a painting by Clint Samples is what I will be discussing. The painting Gallatin River II by Clint Samples was beautifully done in watercolor. The colors used were soft and the dark and light colors blended well together. The paint-brush strokes in smooth, horizontal lines gave the impression of movement. The artist leads the observer through the painting from the upper right-hand corner to the lower left corresponding to the visual movement. The shading on the rocks, the plants, and on the water itself gave the image depth. The theme of nature in this piece as well as the style in which it was done, and the colors and technique used, give this painting a soft and tranquil feel. The most dominant element is line, though the shapes were amorphous. The reason I chose this piece of work was because I was immediately drawn to it. It caught my attention because of how smooth the texture was and how soft and harmonious the colors were. The painting was realistic and captivating. I really enjoyed examining it because, although most of the shapes were large and the colors were layered to give it more dimension, I was still surprised to find smaller, more deliberate details that added an introspective quality to it. It was just as beautiful as if it were a photograph. ...

Value Analysis Research Paper
Value Analysis Research Paper Value Analysis Research Paper Introduction Employees should undertake their tasks with integrity and honesty. By taking the role of the two virtues, they invoke the respect and trust from their employers. Levy (2000) regards honesty as the best policy at the workplace. An employee should endeavor to be valuable to the company. One needs to be trustworthy and dependable if the employer is to value them. Employers completely lose trust in their employees when they steal from them; stealing can be in terms of money and time. Money theft is however taken with seriously than that of time. Telling lies to the employer or to a senior person at the workplace destroys an employeeââ¬â¢s image; this is because employees misrepresent themselves. Working for Revol Wireless was one of the most has been very pleasant experience for me. As a sales manager, my work was to oversee all the operations in the sales department. As a sales manager I had the power to recruit and hire sales staff for the company. I recruited, trained and later on hired my cousin as a sales associate. We had a healthy working relationship until I discovered that he had been giving exaggerated figures on the sales so that he can get a higher commission. He could forge receipts and afterward use then as ââ¬Ëevidenceââ¬â¢ of the sales made. I had built trust on him hence I did not bother to critically analyze his activities. Sometimes he would just use word of mouth to tell me about his progress, I took his word not realizing that he was a con. When the inconsistencies were large enough, his dirty acts were finally exposed. It was very disappointing to discover that the person I had put my trust on had betrayed my trust. This affected me since this incident could have incriminated me given that he is my cousin. Somehow, this thought made me to feel as if I was responsible for his mistakes; I kept on telling myself that I was to blame. It was even harder to imagine that the person I had worked so hard to train has been taking me for a ride. Looking back, I should have been more careful since some weeks before this shocking revelation, I had noticed some discrepancies but I ignored. This had been going on for some time and it took a while before I discovered his mischief. This act had gone against the companyââ¬â¢s ethical code. This completely broke the trust I had in him. Dishonesty destroys a good working relationship between an employer and an employee; it breaks the trust that the employer had on the employee. Different beliefs and their attempt to solve the problem Confucianism holds that not all lying is bad; there are good and bad lies. Confucius states that it is okay for a son to protect his father during trial of a non-violent offense through lying (Murphy 2004). Sometimes lying can be regarded as a noble act. These are the kind of lies that people tell to protect loved ones from getting hurt. Supporters of this belief would not forward the sales associate since this would only present a bad image. A straightforward person does what is believed to be right but ends up hurting other people. Covering up for someone we hold dear is the main teaching of this beliefs system. Protocol would have demanded that such a person to be forwarded to the authorities. Using Confucianism arguments, the sales associate should not be taken to the authorities. The management is not aware of this fraud hence it will be easy to fix the problem at the sales department level. Covering up for the sales person would be the ultimate solution for this case. Confucian ism will regard this as a good lie. Upanishadic teachings emphasize on the importance of working earnestly. There is emphasis on the need to undertake all work to our best while we leave God to do the rest. Man is expected to play his role in a proficient manner but no one should try to undertake Godââ¬â¢s work. There is need to approach the sales associate and ask him to explain the reason for his dishonesty. It is unwise for man to judge since this is the work of God. The associate need to seek spiritual proficiency since this will help him to become proficient in his work. There is need for spiritual nourishment since this will form the basis for self-assessment. There is no need to worry about the punishment of such an individual since this is the work of God. This is Godââ¬â¢s part and He is the only one who can perform it perfectly (Scarry Scarry 2010). Hinduism is a belief that teaches people on the importance of integrity. It is believed the dishonest can never escape punishment. Human beings may view dishonesty as a violation of law but time comes when the offenders pay for their mistakes. Every person has a duty to tell the truth if they are to avoid the wrath of Goddess Parvathi. Every dishonest act that we as human being do is legible to punishment. Covering up for the mistakes of the sales associate will mean that the witness is a sinner too and judgment shall fall upon him. Punishment for dishonesty does not have to follow a legal proceeding since a spiritual power makes those who were involved in such acts to suffer for their sins. Dishonest people can never get away with their crime. Confession and telling the truth about what happened can help in solving the problem. The victim should not deny his involvement in the crime since this will only invoke punishment (Hollinger 1999). The Bible teaches Christians that God hates a tongue that lies. In Christianity lying is defined as deliberate falsehood. Christianity teachings state that God hates a lying tongue and a witness who tells false lies. The sales associate has committed a sin according to these teachings because he has been pretending to be something he is not. The Bible recommends that such a person needs to confess his sins so that forgiveness can be granted. If he fails to confess that he has sinned, he cannot be forgiven. The Bible would require the associate to humble himself while asking for forgiveness. Condemnation will fall upon him on the judgment day if he fails to repent his sins. Hypocrisy and deceits are linked together and praying for forgiveness is the only way that the sinner can escape Godââ¬â¢s wrath. Marxism envisages morality as a very important aspect in a society. It regards a society as having transcended morals (Greenberg 2010). A society can only be regarded as moral if the people living within it take their roles seriously. This belief system however holds that there are no rules that can be used to judge morality. The crime in question cannot be regarded as serious or not. There is no scale that can be used to gauge the kind of punishment that is appropriate for certain crimes. The sales associate went against the rules of the company but this should not be used as a basis for judging him; this is not enough reason to prove that he is immoral. This belief system suggests that the rules of morality keep changing hence there is no one definition of morality. There are no rules that can be used to determine the degree of crime that the sales associate has committed. However, there is need to analyze the situation further since the perception of the crime may be different to both the management and the sales director. Existentialism holds that actions have an inherent moral attribute. There is a common belief among the proponents of this belief that people need to behave appropriately if they are to be regarded as good people. Doing what is right has some advantages since it make us feel valuable. We need to do what is right if we are to be regarded as morally upright. The sales associate should be reported to the concerned authorities since he has broken the rules. Going against the rules of the company is wrong hence it is important for the sales manager to deal with the case in the most appropriate way; this should obviously be guided by the rules and regulations of the company. There is need to do what is expected hence the sales associateââ¬â¢s mistake should not be overlooked because he is the sales directorââ¬â¢s cousin. The law should take its course in this case since this is what protocol demands. Personal basic belief system The Hinduism belief system is my basic belief system. This belief system gives nature a chance to take its course. Evil doers may escape with impunity but they can never escape the wrath of the supernatural being. The legal processes are an important part of the judicial system but their powers are limited. It is impossible for someone to go through this life doing what is wrong and then live a happy life. Nature has a way of ensuring that such people receive their punishment before they land six feet under. Someone may be jailed for some few years and once they are released, they go back to their former ways of life. The punishment from the Holy one cannot be overlooked since it bears effects that cause much suffering. Whenever someone wrongs others even if it is through stealing from an employer, this selfish act is punishable (Gaskin 2002). There are various ways in which people can escape such punishment, confessing and asking for forgiveness saves the people from punishment. Deliberate sins are very serious and assailants should be heavily punished. Hinduism acknowledges the power of the Holy one and it is their belief that He is able to revenge for them. Judgment and punishment is Godââ¬â¢s work and He is the only one who can undertake his responsibility well. When oneââ¬â¢s conscience is dead, it is only the punishment of a supernatural being that can reverse things. Dishonesty is one of the vices that Hinduism opposes and its judgment is serious since one can even die. The court processes are important in ensuring that justice prevails but they are not the ultimate solution to all criminal offenses such as employee dishonesty. Most basic descriptive value Honesty and dependability helps to build a strong character. Honesty ensures that many problems within the working environment are solved appropriately. It is an important aspect in business in the same way it is to our personal lives. When someone is honest at work, they tend to win the trust of their employers after a short period of time. Honesty makes one to gain respect and trust within the company. If the sales associate has not lied about the sales, he would not have tainted his name hence the sales director would have continued to respect him. Honesty enables employees to work according to the values that they have set. This is an important aspect since it helps to guide those in lower positions how to conduct themselves. When one is honest at the work place, he or she acquires a clear understanding of the important things and this is a very useful aspect in decision making. In a work environment, dependability entails giving the employer a reason to trust the employeeââ¬â¢s ability to undertake a certain task (Paloutzian Park 2005). This is an important aspect since it ensures that the employee can be entrusted with certain tasks. When someone is dependable, there is no need to have a supervisor since such people can perform their roles with minimum supervision; their proficiency does not depend on whether they are being watched or not. People need to be honesty and dependable if they are to escape the punishment of the supernatural being. The two values are emphasized in the Hinduism belief system since they form character. The most basic moral values The most basic moral values that emerge from Hinduism concerning the issue of honesty are the need for patience and manââ¬â¢s acknowledgement that God is the ultimate judge. There is no way that manââ¬â¢s judgment can compare to Godââ¬â¢s. I am a relativist since I believe that it is my personal traits that enable me to judge situations. In this case, it is advisable to let God play his role since He is the overall determinant of how our lives will be tomorrow and the days to come. He has the power to decide the most appropriate time to punish wrongdoers. Human beings may rush to judge these people but this judgment may not have a huge impact as that of God. Supernatural powers are not to be joked around with since their punishment is real. As a deontologist, stealing from an employer is wrong not because the employer is unknowing but because stealing is a vice (Waardenburg 1999). The moral rightness of an act is considered in terms of the outcomes it brings about. It is wrong to steal from an employer even if the salary or commission is low; there are better ways to solve such an issue such as engaging in a dialogue. It is wrong for man to undertake Godââ¬â¢s role in judgment since He is the only judge who is allowed to make final judgments. Local tribunals may try criminals but Godââ¬â¢s punishment is ideal. It has the power to make an individual to make a u-turn in his life. Deontologists define morality in terms of following the set rules and regulations. The rules establish actions that have been recognized as true. Since the sales associateââ¬â¢s act deceived the sales director intentionally, this person is moral wrong. It is important to follow a set of rules so that rightness can be upheld. Teleology does not present convincing arguments. The arguments that someone can just endeavor to be happy for no reason at all is illogical. People strive to be happy for various reasons. A person can work hard to attain financial independence so that they can enjoy the fruits of their hard labor later in life (Gaskin 2002). We all strive to be happy for various reasons and among them is attaining a sense of belonging. The sales executive did not just steal for the sake of it; he had an undisclosed reason for stealing from the employers. Resolving the problem Dishonesty at the workplace is one of the vices that break the good working relationship between employers and employees. Ethics is a very important part of the workplace. In resolving this problem appropriately, to start with it is important to get the sales person to confess the sins he has committed. Next, it is important to get into the bottom of the problem by asking the sales associate why he was dishonest. The reason provided will form good grounds for proper judgments to be made. If the reasoning is not convincing, the person needs to face the law. It is important to note that it would be unwise to refuse to listen to the reasoning given since it may point to some loopholes within the organization. Listening helps the employer to critically analyze the situation; this helps in determining the kind of decision will be made to determine the fate of the suspect. Conclusion At the work place, honesty forms the basis of a good working relationship between the various staff of different levels. The moment dishonesty sets in; the good working relationship is destroyed. Stealing from the employer is one of the most common mistakes that employees make. Most of them steal with the hope that the employer will never find out. When discrepancies are discovered, the trust that employers had on employees is destroyed. The case in question involves a sales associate who steals by lying about the amount of sales made with the aim of earning a higher commission. There are several religious beliefs that have attempted to solve this problem depending on the unique beliefs of the religious group. The ideas of world views such as Marxism and Existentialism have also been applied in solving the case. My basic belief system is Hinduism, its way of dealing with the issue of honesty reasonable. This beliefs system presents such moral values as the importance of allowing God to be the overall judge and the fact that Godââ¬â¢s judgment is inevitable. The ethical problem in the case can be solved best if the reason behind such misconduct is identified. This will ensure that the sales director will decide on the way forward. custom writing service can provide you with a high-quality custom research paper on any topic and in any subject you need.
